Sustainable townhouse project The Village in new neighbourhood Middleton Field – Daylesford has reached a significant project milestone with construction of the central townhouses to commence next month – March 2025.
To celebrate, the Hygge team with project architect Breathe and landscape architect Acre alongside recently appointed builder for The Village Langdon Living met on-site for a special ground breaking event.
A unique sustainable townhouse project for Daylesford, Hepburn Shire Council Mayor, Cr Don Henderson and Deputy Mayor Cr Lesley Hewitt were both in attendance to mark the start of construction with several key members of Council’s planning staff.
Project sales agent from Belle Property, Daylesford Ashlee McKee with Will Walton also joined with other local Daylesford groups including principal Tim Hogan from the neighbouring Daylesford Secondary School and President of the Daylesford RSL Ian Tinetti.
A special invite was extended to the team at Women’s Property Initiatives (WPI) who have acquired four new homes at The Village to provide good quality, affordable longer term rental housing for women and children in the Daylesford region.
WPI is a not-for-profit community housing provider who has been creating new beginnings for women and children at risk of homelessness for over 25 years.
Following the tree planting, attendees joined the Hygge team for a short tour of the neighbourhood – including visiting Hygge House – the small footprint sales space for The Village and Middleton Field.
The team from Langdon Living will commence on-site next month with the central townhouses anticipated to be completed prior to the end of 2025. Specialising in medium density development and experienced in delivering sustainably designed homes, the Langdon Living team are looking forward to working in Daylesford to bring The Village to life.
With construction starting soon this is an ideal time to learn more about the available homes at The Village.
